Each card: how many rounds since the outcome last landed (now), then the lengths of its previous droughts, newest first, over the last 2,000 rounds. Highlighted gaps are at least twice the usual one. Past gaps do not change the odds of the next round.

Roads and streaks (3,433 rounds, last 24 hours)

The bead plate shows every result in order, top to bottom and left to right. The big road groups wins of the same side into columns; a tie is marked on the last win. Dragon is red (D), Tiger blue (T), a tie green (=, or S for a suited tie). Roads show what happened; they do not change the odds of the next hand.

Derived roads compare the big road with itself: red means the pattern repeats (columns of equal length, or a streak continuing where the earlier column did), blue means it breaks. “Next” shows the mark each road would get if Dragon or Tiger wins the next hand. They are a way of reading the past, used by baccarat players; they have no effect on the next hand, which is dealt from the shoe as always.

How Dragon Tiger works

You can bet on Dragon, Tiger, Tie or Suited Tie. The dealer then flips one card for each side. There are no drawing rules and no third card. Ace ranks lowest and King highest; suits carry no rank. When both cards have the same rank, the round is a tie. If they also match in suit, it is a suited tie. Because there is so little to deal, a new round begins roughly every 25 seconds, which is how the table gets through more than 3,000 rounds a day.

The exact odds

Eight decks contain 416 cards. When Dragon's card is dealt, 415 are left, and 31 of those share its rank, so a tie occurs in 7.47% of rounds, roughly once in 13.4. Only 7 of those 415 cards match both rank and suit, a suited tie in 1.69% of rounds, about once in every 59. Dragon and Tiger take the other 192 of 415 each, or 46.27%, with neither side holding an edge. A run of 50 rounds without a tie, or 200 with no suited tie, is unremarkable at these odds.

Payouts and RTP

On Dragon and Tiger, a win pays 1:1. If the round ends in a tie, half the Dragon or Tiger stake comes back, so each of those bets carries a theoretical return of 96.27%. A Tie bet pays 11:1 no matter the suits, while Suited Tie pays 50:1. Figured on the 415 cards, that works out to returns of 89.64% on Tie and 86.02% on Suited Tie.

How to read this page

The feed gives the outcome of every round, and says if a tie was suited, yet it does not show the two cards. Ranks and card counts are therefore not followed. "Missing longest for its odds" points to the result that is furthest past its usual gap. "Missing for a while" lists ties, suited ties, Dragon and Tiger along with their earlier droughts. "Streaks" displays the present run and the longest Dragon and Tiger runs across the last 2,000 rounds. On the roads, Dragon is D, Tiger T, a tie = and a suited tie S. Each deal does not depend on the one before.

Frequently asked questions

What are the rules of Dragon Tiger?

Dragon and Tiger each get one card, and the higher rank takes the win, with Ace low and King high. If the ranks match it is a tie; if both rank and suit match it is a suited tie.

What happens to my Dragon bet on a tie?

Half the stake comes back and half is gone. That rule determines the return on Dragon and Tiger at 96.27%.

What is the RTP of Dragon Tiger?

Dragon and Tiger push returns 96.27%. A Tie pays 11:1 and returns 89.64%, while Suited Tie pays 50:1 and returns 86.02%.
